Ben's Bio-

Ben has been in sportscasting since 1998. Over the last ten years, Ben has been involved in every aspect of the broadcasting field. Ingram got his start doing color commentary on Community College Football and Baseball games when he was 18. Ben earned his first play-by-play job as a sophomore at Mississippi College. Ingram would be the voice of the Choctaws for the next 4 years until graduating from MC in 2003.
Since then, Ingram's play-by-play career has helped him climb the ladder through the minor league baseball system. In 2004, Ben was the play-by-play voice of the Jackson Senators of the Independant League. Following his work with the Senators, Ingram earned his first job in affiliated baseball when he landed the play-by-play job with the Eugene Emeralds of the Northwest League. In 2007, Ben was part of the Mississippi Braves broadcast team as the#2 broadcaster. This season, Ben is the full-time voice of the Mississippi Braves of the AA Southern League. All Braves games will be heard on sister station WZRX 1590 AM.

The other side of Ben's broadcasting career is his work as a sports talk show host. Ben was an intern on Mississippi Sports this Morning during his senior year of college. Upon coming back to Mississippi from Oregon, Ben came back to "The Score" 620 AM to become the third voice of Mississippi Sports This Morning with Chuck Stinson and Doug Colson. Ben has been a part of M.S.T.M. since 2006 and has spun that into his own afternoon sports talk show.
Since August 27th, 2007...Ben has hosted Mississippi Sports this Afternoon every weekday from 4-5pm on "The Score" Sportsradio 620. Ben's rapid fire delivery and aggressive on air presence has established M.S.T.A. as one of Jackson's best afternoon drive time programs.

M-Braves Blog....an insiders view
Saturday 06-28-2008 2:08pm CT

What's up! It's June 28th and we're 4 games deep into a 6 game series with Birmingham. This series has been UNREAL so far. If you haven't heard by now, Tommy Hanson pitched a no-hitter in game two of this sereis. For Tommy, it was the first no-hitter he's thrown since little league and and the first one in the Southern League this season.
The last 3 innings were so much fun to watch, as the drama began to mount. Tommy ended up striking out 14, walking 2 and hitting 2 batters. After the game, I went to hang out in the clubhouse and ended up in Phillip Wellman's office with Pitching Coach Derrick Botelho, Big Leaguer, Mark Kotsay and Tommy Hanson. Tommy Hanson's father was there as well and it was great to see him following his son's no-hitter.
Phillip Wellman took the line up card from the dugout wall and gave it to Tommy so he can frame it and keep it. It was a great time hearing all of those guys talk about the no-hitter and other stories from the past......between the people in that room, they have seen A LOT of baseball.
The no-hitter was great but things have been getting better and better. The Braves won the next night and last night and have now won 12 of their last 15 games. This team is on a roll and you can tell by how positive things are in the clubhouse. The Braves have been doing everything right latelly and it shows in the win column.
There are 2 games left in this series......come on down to the PArk and check out the action, because this team is playing really hard.

Till next time, Later....
Ben
